Golden Girls' VA Dare Cruise
The Golden Girls have planned a Virginia Dare Cruise at Smith Mountain Lake on Saturday, June 21st. The cruise is from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. For those individuals who registered for this event, please plan to leave the church at 9:30 am.

Sojourners Picnic & Fellowship
The Sojourners (ages 45-65) are planning a picnic at the Botanical Garden of the Piedmont in Charlottesville. Explore God’s beautiful creation with us at this developing garden. Weekenders Ice Cream Competition & BBQ

LED Acrobats and Fireworks
Celebrate Independence Day weekend with Liberty Baptist Church and the Town of Appomattox on Saturday, June 28th from 6-10 pm! Starting at 6:00 pm at Appomattox County High School, experience a touch-a-truck and enjoy food from vendors. At 7:30 pm, watch local firemen demonstrations. At 8:30 pm, a group of acrobats will perform dazzling tricks in reflective clothing and LED equipment. And wrapping up the event at 9:15 pm, enjoy the fireworks display.

Harvesters Evangelism Outreach

Centra Mammography Van
As a service to our community, the mammography van is coming to LBC on Monday, June 30th from 7:30 am until 2:20 pm. They will be performing screenings for eligible women ages 40 and over who have not had a mammogram in the last 12 months. Youth Lake Day
Middle and high school students and chaperones are invited to join us at the lake on July 12th! We will experience tubing, swimming, and fishing at Danny and Linda Moon’s lakehouse at Buggs Island. We plan to meet at the church by 8am to ride the bus and additional vehicles. Plan to bring your bathing suit, towel, change of clothes, sunscreen, bug spray, and fishing gear. Back-To-School Event
On Saturday, August 2nd starting at 9:00 am, the Back-To-School Event will be held in the Ministry Center. This is a wonderful opportunity for the members of Liberty Baptist Church to come together to provide school supplies to Appomattox County families in need. There are opportunities for purchasing supplies, donating funds, packing boxes, and helping with the distribution of supplies. We provide a complete set of school-determined supplies for Appomattox students from kindergarten through the 8th grade who preregister. Congregational Meeting
There will be a Congregational Meeting on Sunday, August 10th at 6:00 pm in the Sanctuary. The Financial Report will be given, as well as reports from the Elders, Stewardship Committee, etc. This meeting is to inform the church about matters of church business, along with giving an opportunity to submit approval/disapproval cards on subjects that require congregational approval.

Sunday Night Kids Kickoff
Sunday Night Kids is BACK!! We kick off a brand-new year of ministry on Sunday night, August 17th, beginning at 5:00 pm with Cherub Choir and KidSing, followed by Awana at 6:00! Each Sunday night will be filled with exciting music, engaging Bible teaching, small group discipleship and Scripture memory, and high-energy games! Cherub Choir and KidSing are open to kids ages 4-years through 5th grade, and Awana is open to kids ages 2-years through 5th grade! Children Nutrition Ministry Kick-off Meeting
The Children's Nutrition Ministry will have a Kick-off Meeting on Monday, August 18th at 7:00 pm in the Old Fellowship Hall. Men’s Retreat
The Men’s Ministry of Liberty Baptist Church is planning a Men’s Retreat at the James River State Park on Friday, November 7, 2025 – Saturday, November 8, 2025. The event will begin with dinner on Friday evening and end mid-afternoon on Saturday. This retreat has proven to be a wonderful opportunity to fellowship with other men from Liberty while we grow in the Lord.
Our speaker this year is Dr. Gene Mims, senior pastor of The Gathering at 840 in Tennessee. He is a former vice president for LifeWay Christian Resources and a current member of the Liberty University Board of Trustees. Cliff Lambert, our worship pastor, will also be leading us in praise and worship.

Magnified! VBS is open to all kids 3-years-old through completed 5th grade! Each night will include an engaging Bible lesson, exciting music, a super fun craft, and high-energy games! Our night begins and ends with an awesome worship rally, where we will review the Bible content and music from the day!

KIDSing Spring Musical, The Prodigal Clown
Come One, Come All, Come Home. On Sunday, May 18th at 7:00 pm in the Ministry Center, step right up and meet the Parabalini Family Circus… the father Antonio, the older son AJ, and his little brother Giorgio. Despite the nonstop fun and hilarity of clowns, knife-throwers, lion-tamers, and human cannonballs, there’s a serious and heartwarming story to be told about the father whose love for his children is unconditional. The parable that Jesus told about the loving father and two sons comes to life in this KIDSing musical.

Graduation Sunday
On Sunday, May 18th we will be recognizing all the 2025 graduates of both high school and college. To do this, we need each graduate to submit a graduate information sheet, along with a baby picture and senior picture. The Easter Eggstrava-games-a will feature three egg hunts at 3:30 pm (Pre-K), 3:45 pm (Kindergarten-2nd grade), and 4:00 pm (3rd-5th grade), where kids will rush the field to pick up as many candy-filled eggs as possible!
