Women's Missionary Union (WMU)

The WMU informs and inspires Baptist women to influence their world for Christ. Liberty has two mission circles (small groups) that meet monthly.



Guatemala Orphan Sponsorship

The orphan sponsorship program takes its direction from James 1:27, “to look after orphans and widows in distress”. For $25 a month, individuals can sponsor an orphan from the Hope of Life Orphanage in Llano Verge, Guatemala. Funds have been used to build a playground for the orphanage and to provide funds for an on-site doctor and several nannies.

It is the hope of this ministry that we can make an eternal difference in the lives of these children and help support them by our obedience to God’s word. If you are interested in sponsoring a child, or would just like more information, please contact Bob Poole at: 434-426-0159.

Prison Ministry

On Sunday and Wednesday nights, men serving in the prison ministry travel to area jails to provide Biblical encouragement to those who are incarcerated.













Honduras Missions

For over 10 years one couple at Liberty Baptist Church has been travelling to Honduras each year to help build churches in partnership with the International Mission Board. In 2009, two more families from Liberty joined with them and they are excited to add more to their numbers in 2010. Look for more information as the date approaches.
